This competition is international and open to individuals aged 18 and above. Anyone who is 18 years old or older and willing to submit their created designs can participate.
You can fill out the application form and upload your finished design at the following address: beizmir.org/application
Submissions can be made between 19/07/2023 and 19/11/2023 until 17:30 (TSI) on the website.
As an individual participant, you can enter the competition with a maximum of 3 works.
The first-place design will receive 20,000 TL.
The second-place design will receive 15,000 TL.
The third-place design will receive 10,000 TL.
There will be 3 Honorable Mention awards of 5,000 TL each.
Additionally, up to 20 selected works for the exhibition will receive 1,000 TL per artwork.
Apart from these awards, no further payment will be made for a winning design. Cash prizes are non-transferable. For winners from overseas, after deducting legal taxes, the amount will be calculated based on the current dollar exchange rate on the day and transferred to their bank accounts.
The winners will be selected on the dates 24th, 25th, and 26th of November 2023.
Jury members will select among all eligible entries. Evaluation of the semi-finalists and voting of the finalists will be based on the following criteria: simplicity of the design, pattern usage, and originality.
Any selected and produced work will first be created with the artist's permission. If we like a design that didn't win, we will contact you to see if you are interested before moving forward with production.
Competition entries will not be returned to you. However, by submitting a design, you grant us the right to use this design in our commercial marketing activities, on our websites, and social media channels. After the winners are selected, we will contact each artist before proceeding with production. We will send them one sample of the produced products to their address. We will own the rights to any version of the design that we accept for production on any commercial product (for example, if we modify or adjust the design as part of the production process for a toy, t-shirt, tote bag, etc.). No additional cash payment will be made beyond the prize.
Yes. You can submit up to 3 designs, and the finalists will be selected based on merit, but only one design can be eligible for an award.
Potential prize winners will be notified by the organizing institution at an appropriate date via the phone number or email address they provided during entry, and they must respond to the initial notification within 48 hours. Each potential winner is subject to verification, and they may be asked to provide identification and/or eligibility proof in an acceptable form (including, but not limited to, government-issued photo ID). Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the organizing institution may result in disqualification. Verification of each potential winner may also include a background check. Each participant consents to a background check being conducted about them and agrees to provide any permissions or consents that might be required in connection with such an investigation by the organizing institution. Each participant agrees to provide accurate and truthful information in connection with the verification process conducted by the organizing institution. The organizing institution reserves the right to request that potential winners fill out and return, within three days of the attempt to deliver such documentation, an Eligibility Declaration/Release of Liability and, where lawful, a Publicity Release and any other documents requested by the organizing institution in order to verify eligibility and accept the benefits provided for in these Official Rules.
The cash prize won by the award-winning designer is only awarded to the winner. It cannot be transferred to another person's bank account. No responsibility will be accepted for participants from countries where the Republic of Türkiye does not have an agreement with banks. By participating in this competition, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the organizing institution in all respects, which are final and binding. The organizing institution reserves the right to disqualify any participant or potential winner in its sole discretion if the participant or potential winner is found at any time to be under any state sanctions or trade restrictions that apply as of the date the prize is awarded. No responsibility will be accepted in such regions if the participant resides in an area subject to such sanctions or restrictions.
