Sevda Kaçtı

Sevda Kaçtı was born in Izmir in 1992. In 2015, she obtained her undergraduate degree from the Graphic Design Department of Anadolu University Faculty of Fine Arts. In 2019, she completed her master's degree on Graphic Design at Anadolu University Institute of Fine Arts with a thesis titled "The Identity of an Illustration Artist and Its Effects on Society." In 2016, she worked as an illustrator in the design team of Eskişehir Liberation Museum. In 2018, she held a solo illustration exhibition.

She has participated in numerous national and international group exhibitions and won awards in national competitions. Sevda has created editorial or cover illustrations for magazines such as Üstad, Rağmen, Sabit Fikir, Kafasına Göre, Kaleydeskop, and for Can Publications. She has also worked on wall illustrations, illustrative posters, cards, and corporate identity designs for various brands. In addition, she has created artist books and NFTs for her personal projects. Her works often involve combining organic textures and traditional materials to establish a natural technique, which is then finalized using digital mediums. She aims to achieve an experimental and avant-garde style, distancing herself from the ordinary.

Recently, she has been conducting research on the "Auteur" theory, art and therapy, and the graphic novel medium. Since 2022, she has been a member of the executive board of the "4t Design and Design History Community" association. Sevda is currently pursuing her Doctor of Fine Arts degree and continuing her academic career at Dokuz Eylül University Institute of Fine Arts, Graphic Design program.
